Bookmarked Journey to Truth

Community Dodgeball TournamentI want to share our book and other educational resource recommendations together.  Let's share with one another where we have this many ah-ha moments as I did with the book pictured here; times when we are struck deeply by what the author is unveiling for us.  This is my recent read of Secrets of the Millionaire Mind: Mastering the Inner Game of Wealth by T. Harv Eker.  Have you read it?  If not you can snag an inexpensive copy for a few dollars, jump on it!

I love this book because so many of the principals are such good positive reinforcement of things that I believe in, such as the Law of Attraction (my favorite teaching came from The Secret) or Conscious Language

For example, the author shares:

“A word of wisdom: Saving for a rainy day might sound like a good idea, but it can create big problems.”
He goes on to elaborate on the power of intention

“If you are saving your money for a rainy day, what are you going to get? Rainy days! Stop doing that.  Instead of saving for a rainy day, focus on saving for a joyous day or for the day you win your financial freedom.  Then, by virtue of the law of intention, that’s exactly what you will get."
Another area that I am passionate about when it comes to my finances is 'voting' with my dollars.  How do we do that?  Where are you spending your money?  With what companies are you investing in through your purchases?

Who Are You Investing In?

Superhero Themed 5k With FriendsI recently wrote about a favorite topic of mine, Shop Indie Local.  I am very passionate about spending dollars locally, in my community, with business owners that I know.  Beyond all the benefits that I shared in that blog, it also shows where my priorities are.

We all get to vote with our dollars, so who or what are we investing in?  America?  China?  Big pHARMa?  Our local farmers?  We get to vote and give power to those we spend our money with.  Don't take that decision lightly.  You have power and get to exercise it often!  That is an exciting opportunity and should be celebrated as a part of our financial adventure.

Well, that is all for now!  Sign-up to receive each new financial adventure that I share delivered conveniently to your inbox!
